Comments: DESCRIPTION OXALIC ACID, as applied in the laundering process, is a reducing sour for rust removal and as a reducing agent, is also effective on other reducible type stains in any laundry load. APPLICATION While OXALIC ACID is extremely effective, it can be very deleterious to cotton if allowed to remain in textiles after use. When applied at the beginning of a formula, an appropriate number of rinses is required to achieve raw water alkalinity levels in the linen prior to extraction or introduction of an alkaline product. USAGE RATE OXALIC ACID is used at the rate of 8 to 16 ounces CWT at low water level and a temperature of approximately 160 F. The cycle break time should range from 15-20 minutes dependent on degree of rust/iron infiltration and should be followed by an appropriate number of high level rinses. CAUTION OXALIC ACID is a strong reducing acid. Product should not come in contact with alkaline products or chlorine bleach. See OSHA data sheets for further details.
